The global launch of new Condega Masaya is now a reality thanks to the exquisite blend created with 100% Nicaraguan tobacco grown in the fertile soils of Jalapa, Condega and Estelí. Aganorsa Leaf’s tobacco fields supply the best leaves to develope this brand new line. This is a limited edition, so only few boxes will be available for sale worldwide.
As with Momotombo cigar from the Edición Especial Volcanes de Nicaragua, the Condega Masaya cigar sublimely offers a complex flavour profile from a carefully selected and unique blend: Corojo Sungrown wrapper (dark Carmelita look and mostly smooth), Corojo Nicaragua binder and Corojo and Criollo 98 Nicaragua filler. All the tobacco leaves used for this special limited edition have been aged for three years, like all Condega S Series.
The transitions between thirds in Condega Masaya are superb, perfectely defined thanks to the excellent construction of the cigar, allowing for a perfect draw, an uniform combustion throughout the smoke, a consistent and firm greyish ash, and a dense smoke that you feel like chewing. It has aromas that mixed leather, cereal and wood with a hint of hazelnut. Once you fired up, the first puffs bring out flavours of pepper and various creamy nuances of sweet chocolate and caramel, all well balanced and bringing sophisticated flavour profiles. As usual with the Aganorsa leaf, you get a medium to medium-full body cigar.
As you get into the second third, it comes mineral and spicy flavours that are the gateway to others such as butter, milk and vanilla, interspersed with secondary notes of malt, cocoa, cane sugar, cedar and black liquorice. Once again, the perfect selection of sweet and spicy is a real treat for the palate, majestically alternating a rich variety of flavours.
The final third of Condega Masaya had plenty of nuts, with hints of cereal and some maple syrup, enriching the flavour in such a way that one does not want it to end. This consistency and evolution of the Condega Masaya makes it a cigar with a subtle and complex smoke, which does not clash with its body.
The new Condega Masaya line offers 5 sizes: Mini Titan (4×60), Robusto (5×52), Magnum (6×52), Titan (6×60) and Epicure (6×56). They come in elegant matt black wooden boxes, except for Epicure, which has a different packaging, as a new vitola in Condega’s limited editions. The first three vitolas are in boxes of 20 units, while the large sizes of Titan and Epicure come in boxes of 10. In addition, the cigars of the Epicure vitola come in a coffin for better cigar protection.
The new Condega Masaya band has a sophisticated design, with gold lines and the Condega Serie S logo on a black background. Also, the box and coffin for the Epicure vitola include a graphic representation of an erupting volcano.
